At the heart of the Mazahua Mission’s program is the proclamation and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This takes place both at the hacienda and in the surrounding villages. Our emphasis is on training the Mazahua people and “equipping the saints to do the ministry” (Eph. 4:12). Just as God is a Father to the fatherless and a refuge for orphans and widows, Misión Mazahua seeks to love and serve those whom society and history have largely marginalized not only with compassion but acts of mercy.
One of our ministries emphasize the use of the Mazahua language with materials produced by Wycliffe Bible Translators. In all the programs the participants are encouraged to learn to read and write in Mazahua.
In the past year the JESUS film was translated into the Mazahua language. It has since been viewed by about 10,000 of the estimated 350,000 Mazahuas in the area. The evangelical churches of this area have grown dramatically in numbers and now need to grow in spiritual maturity.
