Since the early beginnings of Misión Mazahua in 1976, the theme of the ministries Misión Mazahua has been—”Every Human Need Is a Mission Field”. That gives a very wide range. Over these years we have been sharing with you the focus of MM in Wholistic Mission. That is with a W meaning, we perceive our calling from Jesus to be a whole ministry to the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Of course, that perception of the calling contributes to the very wide range. This requires a lot of people, with lots of energy, a wide vision, deep compassion, generous resources, and most of all a close connection with God in order to receive marching orders.
The goal of our labors is “so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:10-11.
The Lord has chosen to work in us, through us, and even in spite of us for these many years with your support, your offerings, and your prayers. Thank you very much for partnering with us.
Something that makes Misión Mazahua unique is the fact that throughout these years, and from the very beginning we have created many areas of productivity in order to be somewhat if not totally self-sufficient. Whereas there are many ministries that depend almost entirely upon donations and offerings from the outside, and primarily from the United States, and that without which the ministries would have great difficulty to continue serving.
However, Misión Mazahua ́s primary income for operation and ministry come from the use of the huge and beautiful Hacienda de Tepetitlan for camps since 1978 until the present and more recently the special events celebrated with its walls. We continue to develop, construct, enlarge, and improve the installations of the hacienda which when purchased was 95% ruins.
